I always like going to different places to work because it gives me a chance to see something different and sometimes increases my productivity. Here are a few things I’ve noticed while working at both libraries and coffee shops.
1. Other people there are also working.
I find it easier to stay focused when I’m filled in a room full of readers, writers, and workers who are all trying to accomplish a goal. This is one of the benefits of working outside the house that’ll give you more motivation and energy.
2. People can see your screen
It’s really easy to stay on task when you’re sitting with your back turned, exposing your entire laptop screen, this especially helps me stay on task because I don’t want people seeing me looking for memes and listening to music with various cover arts lol.
3. It’s quiet
This one goes with the library more than the coffee shop. Especially if you work in the “quiet area” like me. It’s nice, and you can vastly improve your productivity.
Well, that’s about it, these are some of the benefits I notice when I work at either of those places :) I also recommend working at a local coffee shop (support local businesses) and not Starbucks :p
